COVID-19 Vaccinations

The Alberta government is providing free COVID-19 vaccines for vulnerable populations. As of March 2026, pharmacies are now able to give publicly funded COVID-19 vaccines. Qualifications for these vaccines include:

• Anyone over 80 years of age

• Those over 65 years of age with a chronic health condition, such as diabetes or asthma

• Those over 11 years of age who are severely immunocompromised or undergoing cancer treatment

If you have already received a vaccine, you are eligible for another one as long as it has been 3 months since your last. 

All other Albertans can also get the COVID-19 vaccines, at a fee. At Gourlay’s we will continue to offer COVID-19 vaccinations. Kindly note the cost of this vaccination is $140, but MOST private insurance plans do cover it.
